Art 126, Foundations of Art History: II (Renaissance to Modern)
This is the gathering place for all the materials you need for my course. The navigation bar above will bring it all up in this window. Note that this includes:
- Introduction and Syllabus
- Reminders and Info - this is miscellaneous stuff that will build as the course progresses. It may have material to review for quizzes, information, notices and so on.
- Lightning Tests are anonymous self-tests - useful for quiz preparations
- Past Quizzes are the ones we have already done this semester or in previous courses
- remember, some questions may be repeated in different words
- remember, I used to teach this course as Art 151, so check the past quizzes for that course too - they are linked to the page
The navigation bar on the LEFT will get you back to the main site, and to other important areas of it. Be sure to check out the Art History Browser, which contains links to enjoyable and reliable art history sites on the web - a really EASY way to increase your general art history knowledge fast!
Also check out the Stained Glass Browser, which contains links to great stained glass sites on the web. This browser is unique in the world so enjoy it!
The Paradigmatic Art History is REQUIRED READING for this course. There is stuff in it you won't find anywhere else. Get used to navigating it, and if it malfunctions!
Its navigation is unusual but simple, so note:
- You want to clear the screen at the beginning, and get a full Netscape/IE browser window back at the end. To do that:
- Click on Paradigmatic History link and WAIT
- When the message pops up asking to close the main window, AGREE to this
- When both new windows have loaded, READ THE WELCOME PAGE!
- Now note: NAVIGATION links on the left; CONTENT pages on the right.
- If the content page vanishes when you click on it, that means there is another window(s) open somewhere. MINIMIZE or CLOSE it/them (absolute top left, - and x boxes) till your content page reappears.
- To GET NORMAL NETSCAPE/IE BACK, click on ART HISTORY WITH MICHELLI. This will bring the full browser window back. Easy.
